Summary

Shall the limitation on the total general ad valorem taxes which may be assessed in any one year upon real and tangible personal property in the Township of Saline, Washtenaw County, Michigan, as provided by Article IX, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution, be increased by 1.00 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of two years, for the years 2006 through 2007, inclusive, and shall the levy of such a tax be authorized for the purpose of (1) providing funds to defend the Township against any litigation challenging the Township’s zoning regulations, including without limitation, the lawsuit brought by Biltmore Holdings, LLC et al against Saline Township, and (2) reviewing and updating the Township’s General Development Plan and the Township Zoning Ordinance and shall the Township levy this millage increase for the purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $74,000.00?
